Round Breast Implants

Women’s natural breasts come in all shapes and sizes and so do breast implants. When choosing to have a breast enhancement surgery done you have a couple of choices when it comes to the shape of your implants. There are round breast implants, which were the very first type of implant ever used in breast enlargement surgery and there are teardrop shaped implants.

The shape of the breast implant will greatly affect the final look to any breast augmentation surgery. Body size and skin texture will play a big role in deciding which shape of the breast implants will look right on you. The placement of the implants will also play a big deciding factor of which shape to go with as well as where you and your plastic surgeon decide to have the incision made at during the surgery will.

Round breast implants are the most common type of implant used for breast enhancement surgery. They can come in silicone or saline and there is the option of having a smooth outer shell or a textured one. They give the greater amount of lift and fullness when it comes to breast implants. Round breast implants also give the option as to how much cleavage the patient prefers to have.

Round implants tend to cost less than those of the teardrop implants and they have less of a chance of rotating. They even come in the high profile option which gives greater height to the breast. The patient that opts for round breast implants will have a faster healing time than that of one who chose the textured breast implants.

One downfall for the round breast implants is that if they are over done they tend to look artificial. Talk with your cosmetic plastic surgeon before having the breast enhancement surgery so that you can be clear on all of the options that are available to you.
